Welcome to Haba lab!!
At the Haba Laboratory, we investigate the origin and evolution of the Solar System through high-precision analyses of meteorites, including their chemical compositions and isotopic ratios. Meteorites preserve records from the earliest stages of Solar System formation approximately 4.6 billion years ago and serve as “archives from space.” Meteorites derived from asteroids contain traces of various processes related to planetary formation, providing important clues for understanding the history of the Solar System.
Our research combines high-precision chronology with detailed mineralogical observations and chemical analyses to decode these ancient records preserved in meteorites. By revealing when their parent bodies formed and how they evolved afterward, we aim to reconstruct the 4.6-billion-year history of the Solar System along a temporal axis.
